Pick-up Truck

The goal of the activity is for each team to collect as many balls as possible.

Equipment

Many different kinds of balls.

A basket/bucket or hula hoop per team.

How to Play

Each team has 1 basket/bucket or hula hoop to collect the balls.

Players in each group line up behind one another and hold onto each other’s waists.

The group then moves towards any ball.

The first player rolls the ball backwards through the legs of their teammates “truck,”and runs to the end of the line to retrieve the ball.

That player returns the ball to their collection depot, joins the end of the line and the team proceeds to collects the next ball.

Continue until all balls have been retrieved.

Frogger

Players jump from hula-hoop to hula-hoop and try to retrieve beanbags.

Equipment

Hula-hoops, beanbags.
How to Play

Designate someone as “it”.

Players start in a home base on one side of the playing area.

Players jump from hula-hoop to hula-hoop without being tagged.

Once inside a hoop, players are in a safe zone.

Players try to retrieve bean bags from far end of playing area and bring them back to their safe zone without being tagged.

If player is tagged, bean bag is returned to the far end of playing area and the player becomes “it”.

Variations

Increase or decrease the number of hula-hoops.

If touched, player switches position with player who touched them.

Modify the jump (ex. one-leg jump).

Modify the mode of carrying (ex. carry beanbag between legs).

Modify the size of the playing area.
